Big
Bend By Night Tours
Admire the abundance of native wildlife as it
emerges after sunset. Observe large mobs of
kangaroos and wombats feeding on native grasses and irrigated pastures, see
owls, foxes and explore the old Sunnydale Station property.
These tours are exciting as well as informative
as we identify the animals from their reflective eyes shining in our bright
spotlights.
Tour are taken in an open wagon so no walking is
involved - blankets are even provided on the cold nights! This tour can be
enjoyed by adults and children and it certainly has to be seen to be
believed!!
Tours take 1 hour and cost $10
per person (minimum charge $50).

Big Bend Sunset Dinner Tours

Sunnydale Swamp
- You will be collected from your houseboat and transferred by open wagon to
a wonderful lagoon setting surrounded by native bull rush and lignum. You
will be seated under cover at a magnificent red-gum table for your evening
meal.
Appetiser - Home-style spinach dip served with
bush damper,
Entree - Avocado wrapped in kangaroo prosciutto
and sweetened with a delicious prickly pear jelly,
Main - Braised red wine and rosemary Sunnydale
saltbush lamb with bush tomato chutney,
Dessert - Homemade peach and sultana crumble
served with double cream.
Cost $50 per person (minimum
of 4 people)
Big Bend Cliffs
- A short evening stroll from your houseboat to a chandelier lit
setting inside an old squatters tank with breath-taking views through
natural bush to the water lapping against the majestic sandstone cliffs.
Appetiser - Homestyle spinach dip served with
bush damper and Bush tomato salsa with corn chips
Entree - Avocado wrapped in kangaroo prosciutto
and sweetened with a delicious prickly pear jelly,
Main - Sunnydale homestyle miracle pie served
warm and complimented by fresh garden salads,
Dessert - Delicious Le Brun chocolate mousse
with fresh strawberries.

Claypan Flats
- Travel by an open wagon to a clay pan far enough from the river to
view the panoramic scenery of the Big Bend cliffs as they change colour as
the sun sets. Enjoy an open air dining experience under a canopy of stars
and soft candlelight.
Appetiser - Murraylands brie with quince jelly
and bush tomato salsa with corn chips,
Entree - South Australian prawns served on baby
spinach,
Main - Australian beer can chicken served with
roasted vegetables,
Dessert - Delicious Le Brun chocolate mousse
with fresh strawberries.
Note: Only available during warmer weather
conditions.

At the conclusion of your Big Bend Sunset Dinner
you will receive a complimentary Big Bend By Night Tour followed by tea, coffee and
port that will be served before returning to your houseboat. Your dinner and
nocturnal tour will be conducted over 2 - 2.5 hours. All dinner tours are
BYO and are not available on Wednesday evenings. Menus may be subject to
change without notice based on availability of produce.

Champagne & Bush Tucker
Breakfast
Treat yourselves to a true Australian breakfast
in a secluded natural bush setting alongside Sunnydale lagoon. Indulge in
wattle seed pancakes with dessert Quandong syrup, kangaroo sausages, marinated strips of rabbit, tree mushrooms,
tomato, bacon and eggs followed by toasted wattle seed bread and lemon
myrtle butter with a choice of Quandong jam, wild lime marmalade or bush
tomato chutney plus true Australian Billy Tea and coffee to finish.
